Meet the team

Kent is Pākehā, with heritage from Scotland, Ireland and Uruguay via Melbourne. He grew up in Christchurch, has lived in Sydney, Wellington and the Wairarapa, and these days is based in Tāmaki Makaurau.

He brings decades of experience in consultancy, investment analysis and business management across central and local government, iwi, NGOs and the private sector - senior positions in major corporates here and overseas, private-sector startups and community trusts, and a long list of boards and governance groups.

His track record in facilitation and consensus-building was honed in hui and workshops and meetings across Aotearoa, spanning a wide range of organisations and stakeholders. It has made him a strong believer in curiosity, tolerance, and the ability to listen well - alongside robust analysis and clear communication, using data, research, graphics and writing to tell the story of how to invest well.

Kent holds a number of pro bono roles. He convenes the Banking Reform Coalition, which is pushing for structural reform of our expensive and poorly-performing banking sector, and co-convenes Aroreretini Aotearoa, focused on national policy change for the ADHD community.

Ros is an Irish-born management consultant who has called Aotearoa New Zealand home for more than twenty years. Based in Wellington, she has spent over three decades helping organisations navigate change, strengthen governance, and turn ambitious strategies into practical results.

As founder of Salience, she works with leaders tackling complex challenges - shaping investment decisions, designing governance arrangements, rebuilding underperforming programmes, or bringing people together around a shared direction. Her experience spans central and local government, not-for-profits and the private sector, both here and internationally.

She is known for pairing strategic thinking with a practical delivery mindset. Successful transformation rarely comes from better plans alone; it comes from asking good questions, building trust, making informed decisions, and having the courage to start the conversations others avoid. A Certified Management Consultant, Member of the Institute of Directors and Treasury Gateway Reviewer, she has a reputation for bringing clarity to complexity.

Outside consulting, Ros mentors business owners and emerging leaders, supports people preparing to re-enter the workforce through Dress for Success Wellington, and writes governance satire at The Inconfidence Files on Substack. It reflects the same philosophy that underpins her consulting: people matter, good governance matters, and sometimes the best way to understand ourselves is to smile first.

Jammayca is based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her background in anthropology, physiology and applied finance maps directly onto her passion - the intersection of people, culture and socioeconomic systems.

She began her career in the health sector, building expertise in service design and the research and evaluation of programmes and services, particularly in primary healthcare and in kaupapa Māori contexts. That foundation has grown into broader public-sector advisory work spanning strategy, business case development, social return on investment, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

She has led mixed-methods research, built evaluation frameworks and valuations, and translated complex quantitative and qualitative evidence into practical insights that support investment decisions and policy. More recently her work has focused on climate adaptation, infrastructure investment and community resilience, in partnership with iwi, local and regional councils, and not-for-profits.

Jammayca holds a BSc in Physiology and a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, is completing a Master of Business in Finance at Lincoln University, and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants New Zealand. Her fluency with SQL, R and the Adobe Creative Suite lets her make complex information clear, accessible and visually engaging.
